A first-person horror driving game
The forest has been here longer than the roads.
It was not waiting for you.
The forest has been here longer than the roads. It was not waiting for you. It was not waiting at all. The wood does not distinguish between what arrives and what stays.
Old Growth is a first-person horror driving game about scale, isolation, and the deepening contact with something you can not name.
The light is different in each part of the wood. Not just the quality of it. What it falls on. Some of what is in it arrived the same way you did. Some of it did not arrive at all.
Nothing you do goes unnoticed. Collecting resources, running the engine hard, driving deeper into the wood. It registers, but not in a language you already speak. You leave a mark on the wood every run. The wood leaves one on you.
The bus is sanctuary and the only barrier between you and the wood. Every impact registers. Every run it comes back a little more of what the wood is making it. The dashboard instruments point at things that aren't there when something is paying attention.
